I watched 14 peaks. In every second of this documentary movie, i had goosebumps. It inspires. The movie makes you cry. Every scene hooks you into it. 14 peaks is truly magical. So, what makes it so intriguing? Probably, many people has many reasons. I am definitely following footsteps of Nims Dai. My reason was that it showcases the reality with honesty. Most importantly, it is due to sheer passion and intrepidity shown by Nirmal Purja (Nims Dai).
Thank You Nims Dai! You have taken Nepal mountaineering to different dimension. We and our generations owe you a lot.
As a tour operator and a guide, you have inspired me a lot!
The world has already known you and your work. But still on this chilly morning here in Kathmandu, I feel like writing to you.
These are the reasons why I am compelled to write this open letter to you.
I am buzzing right now. Almost two years of pandemic has hit hard on my Tourism business. My everyday routine was checking internet and lazing around.
Amount of enthusiasm shown by you is praiseworthy. Lazy person like too got enthralled. Your passion has been rubbed upon me as well. The moment i finished watching the film, i started working on my own travel works.
You had your own problems. In-spite of all the problems (family, economic & technical) you kept on moving forward.
Thank you for showing the way.
God bless you with the same energy and zeal throughout.
Nims Dai, you have never used the word “I”. It is so refreshing to hear you say we all the time.
I learned a great deal about team work. You kept on providing the much needed praise to your fellow comrade.
In today’s world people only care about oneself. However, you are different. This trait resembles Nepali spirit. You are true Nepali son.
Too many legends were created. Lots of records are made. All these are possible due to immense contribution of brave Sherpa and Nepali people. However, people don’t mention our contribution.
You slapped on the face of those people who never appreciated our dedication. Nims Dai you gave the appreciation and honor to those who deserve the most.
Thank you!
14 Peaks became our anthem. Covid Hit Nepalese Tourism was in search of inspiration. The film became an anecdote.
Now, lots of people’s eyes are on us. It is up to us to capitalize.
Nepal is truly indebted to you. By the grace of god, may you achieve even greater heights.
On behalf of all Nepalese people, please accept my sincere gratitude. You are simply the great. I am definitely following footsteps of Nims Dai.
