Permits for Manaslu Circuit Trek

Trail of this trekking is from Gorkha district to Lamjung district of Nepal. The trail goes through Manaslu Conservation Area Project and Annapurna Conservation Area Project. Therefore, trekkers need to take two permits. Besides these permits, trekkers also need to get the special permit from Immigration Department of Nepal. TIMS (Trekking Information Management System) of TAAN is also compulsory.

Transportation on Manaslu Trek

There is no flight to Manaslu Trail head. Trekkers need to take either private jeep or local bus. Transportation on this trekking is either on asphalt road or bumpy hilly road. Kathmandu to Aarughat is asphalt road. Besisahar to Pokhara or Kathmandu is also asphalt road. Aarughat to Soti Khola and Dharapani to Besisahar are on bumpy road.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival

Nepal Hiking Himalaya welcomes you in the land of mountains and multiethnic community. You will be transferred to the hotel in Thamel or any as agreed. You will meet the crew members or guide during the dinner. All trip plans will be discussed and all the trip formalities are covered. The agency will host the welcome dinner for you.

Day 2
Drive to Machha –Khola 930 m via Arughat - 08 hrs

Early in the morning we will start our trip. This day is full of road trip. The journey until Taaribeshi of Dhading district is on asphalt road but from here onwards up to Machhakhola the road is bumpy and graveled. However, the scenery in the trail is outstanding. Overnight at teahouse

Day 3
Trek to Jagat 1,410m - 06 hrs

Early in the morning after breakfast we will follow the trail upstream of Budi Gandaki River. After few hours of walking we will reach the farming village of Khorla Beshi. On the way today, we will enjoy the natural hot water springs too in Tatopani Village. The trail from this place is uphill up to Jagat Village. Overnight at teahouse

Day 4
Trek to Dyang 1,800 m - 06 hrs

The trek continues further high passing by numerous hamlets and farms. There are two large villages on this day’s trail. These villages are Nagjet and Philim. These are the scattered settlement villages of different ethnic people. As we cross these villages we will have to trek uphill through lush bamboo forests on the rocky ridge to reach Dyang Village. Day 5
Trek to Namrung 2540 m – 06 hrs

From Dyang onward trekkers will start to feel the rise in an altitude. The area is on the alpine vegetation region of Nepal. Therefore, you need to be more careful here onward with the threat of AMS. Always heed the instructions of guide. We will have to walk few short uphill and downhill from

Day 6
Trek to Sama Gaon 3,530 m - 05 hrs

We will head towards Sama Gaon Today. The change in the vegetation on this day is visible. We will have to walk through short juniper and willow trees to Samagaon. This is the final large village in our Manaslu Circuit Trek route before crossing the Larke La Pass. Overnight at Teahouse

Day 7
Rest day in Sama Gaon for acclimatization.

On this day we will take the mandatory acclimatization break. This is necessary for the trekking ahead in the higher altitude. The acclimatization activities include exploration around the village. The village is unique and has the abundance of Tibetan culture. You will be seeing splendid scenery of peaks and surrounding hills. Explore the village and understand the local culture and traditions. Overnight at teahouse

Day 8
Trek to Samdo 3,780m -05 hrs.

We will start to climb to Samdu. The distance between Samagaon and Samdu is not far but high altitude makes it harder. Therefore, we will cover short distance today to get adjusted in the high altitude. It is highly important. This village is also the last village before crossing the Larke La Pass.

Day 9
Trek to Dharmashala 4,450 m - 4 hrs

Early in the morning after breakfast we will trek downhill to Budhi Gandaki River. As we cross the river we will have to walk uphill through Larke Bazaar and Salka Khola Valley. Finally we will reach Dharmasala. There are few places where you can spend a night. Don’t expect a teahouse or lodge facilities. The accommodation is Spartan. The place is also called as the Larke Phedi and there are high chances for you to see the Himalayan thar too on the trail.

Day 10
Traverse Larke pass at 5,106 m and descend to Bhimtang - 08 hours.

Very early in the morning we will start to walk to cross the Larke Pass. The height is 5106 m and the view of mountains is spectacular. Mountains on view are Himlung, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, Annapurna II etc. After crossing the pass we will descend to Bhimthang. It has good lodges and the place is located in a lovely valley.

Day 11
Trek to Dharapani village 1,943m. 5-6 hours.

Today is an easy day to walk to Dharapani through green lush forests of rhododendron and pine trees. We will walk through village of Tilje and Thonje. We will also meet the Annapurna Circuit Trek route on this day. It is the final day of our trip and we will enjoy with the crew members in our lodge.

Day 12
Drive to Kathmandu and then transfer to your hotels - 06 hrs

We will take the private vehicle back to Kathmandu. You will be transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. The agency will host the farewell dinner for you.

Day 13
Departure

Our Airport Representative will take you to airport for the final farewell.
