Journey of Langtang Ganjala Pass Helambu Trekking commences from Kathmandu in a bus drive to Syaprubeshi in Rasuwa district of Nepal. Once you have arrived in Syaprubeshi after 6 hours of road trip in the rural hills of Nepal your trekking starts the following day. The journey from Syapru to the Lama Hotel comprises of various traditional water mills, villages of Tamang origin of people and the forests of rhododendron, pines and junipers.

Your camp will be in valley or in Mumdu before departing for the Kyanjin Gompa. The hiking of the Kyanjin Ri will give you panoramic views of the Mountains. They are Langtang, Langtang Lirung, Tsergo Ri, Ganjala Pass and other mighty peaks. The trek then moves towards the most challenging junction of your Langtang region trekking. Ganjala Pass is very slippery and often covered with the snow.

You are required to trek very cautiously in expert guidance of the trekking guide. Once you have passed the Ganjala Pass then beautiful forest region Helambu arrives. Detail Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival Kathmandu (1400m)

When you arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), our airport representative will greet you and complete the formalities (Visa, etc), you need to confirm for our agent with a display board at the entrance gate. You will then transfer to the hotel. In the evening, you will join a welcome dinner at a first rate traditional Nepalese restaurant where we get pleasure from a Nepalese cultural program and enjoy fine meal. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2
Kathmandu Shightseeing

After having breakfast you will go for sightseeing all around Kathmandu Valley. You will visit Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Swambhunath Stupa. All these are enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage list. In the evening you will meet with Nepal Hiking Himalayas’ trekking guide who will help you for trekking preparation. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3
Kathmandu – Syabru Besi (2000m)

Today leaving Kathmandu, we drive for around 7 hours to reach to Syabrubesi. We will walk all the way is the Bhotekoshi River shore. Also, you will observe few villages and arresting ranges of peaks. While passing all along the road beside Trishuli River you cling to a view lush hills and Ganesh Himal. Overnight at trekker’s lodge in Syabrubesi.

Day 4
Syabru – Lama Hotel (2748m)

We will pass via the edge on the main road of Syabrubesi and walk on the suspension bridge above the Bhote Koshi lying to the north of the junction with Langtang Khola. Thick forest with a variety of plant types like maple, alder, oaks, bamboo etc. comes en route. Also, you may see langur monkey, yellow-throated martin, Himalayan black bear, wild boar, and several other wild animals. Moving further ahead, the path traverses a river and a bridge. And ascending along the path, we again traverse a steel suspension bridge (2000 m) over the Langrang Khola. The trail further moves further on to the north of the Langtang River along with the eye-catching views of waterfalls. We after that, get there at Changtang usually known as Lama Hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Syabrubesi.

Day 5
Lama Hotel – Langtang Valley (3500m)

From Lama Hotel today we will walk to Langtang Valley (3430m.) taking about 5 hours. Walking for 2 more hours we reach at Ghora Tabela, a small city with shops, trekker’s lodge, police checkpoint etc. Again, we go by Tamang Villages where we can observe Tibetan- style prayer wheels and prayer flags. Also, we will be spellbound by the dramatic views of the Langtang range en route. Then, you will reach at Langtang Village, Langtang National Park’s headquarter. Overnight at Trekkers Lodge.

Day 6
Langtang Valley – Kyagjin (3800m)

Our path today gradually takes us through affluent yak meadows and pleasant long-established villages of Muna to Singdun. We will traverse a wooden beam bridge and get there at a wide valley after ascending a moraine. As a final point, climbing all along the peak we will arrive at Kyagjin Gompa where you will get to see a small monastery. Overnight at Trekkers Lodge.

Day 7
Trek to Ngegang 4000 meters overnight at tented camp.

Today, leaving Kanjin Gompa we will move to Ngegang lying at an elevation of 4000m taking 3hrs. After traversing the wide river valley, trail suddenly ascends to Ngegang which is also known as Ganja La Base Camp. Overnight at the tented camp.

Day 8
Cross the Ganja-La pass 5200 meters and trek to Keldang 4300 meters.

Overnight at tented camp. We will trek over Ganja La Pass to Keldang that lies at an altitude of 4270m. And we will walk for around 3 hours. Ganjala pass is bordered by and is topped by big cairn of rock and prayer flags. Overnight at the tented camp.

Day 9
Trek to Dukpu 4080 meters.

Overnight at tented camp. Moving ahead from Keldang, we will reach Dukpu today where we will set our camp for overnight.

Day 10
Trek to Tarke Gyang (25600m)

We will move further today and walk downhill to Melanchi Gaun which is the last settlement of Helambu. Here will have our lunch and then, we walk downward for 4hours and rise up passing all the way through the community and jungle we will enter to Tarke Gyang (2560m).Overnight at Lodge.

Day 11
Tarke Gyang Trek

This day wehave a rest and visit all around Tarke Ghyang, the impressive stone community. We march all the way through the jungle and go by the huge Chortens. The village is titled from the huge, square Ghyang (monastery) in the hub of the village. This is the old monastery lying in the Helambu area. Most of the people are Buddhist from community. Overnight at Tarke Ghyang.

Day 12
Tarke Gyang – Sermathang (2621m)

After our breakfast today, we start our 4 hours walk to reach Sermathang (2621m). Today, we stroll all the way via the village and forest. Over night at Lodge in Sermathang.

Day 13
Sermathang – Kathmandu

Today, trekking downward for 3 hours we get there at Melamchipul Bazaar (846m). And after that we take a bus and with 4 hours drive, we will return back to Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 14
Kathmandu

Today you have a free day in Kathmandu since you may have chances of flight delay or cancel due to the weather so we need set apart one spare day. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 15
Departure

This is your final day at Kathmandu. Our airport representative will escort you to the airport for the way back to your country.
