Island Peak (6160 m)

This peak is the most famous climbing peak. Its altitude is 6160 m. Most of the climbers who are on mission to Everest expedition do this climb. It helps you to prepare yourself. Moreover, it is a warm up exercise before high altitude mountains.

If you are in a good physical condition, you can do this climbing. You need to hire a good team of Sherpa.

Lobuche Peak (6119 m)

Mt. Lobuche is another mountain nearby Island Peak. It is on the way to Everest Base Camp. Moreover, Lobuche is technically difficult than Island Peak. Almost every peak climbing of Everest region consists of base camp trek itinerary.

There are two peak in Lobuche. Climbing peak is Lobuche main. The view of mountains from the top of the mountain is glorious. It is indeed the best spot for mountain photography. Moreover, you can leave your footprints at the top of snowy mountain.

Mera Peak (6476 m)

Mera is beautiful mountain to climb. It is the only peak in Nepal where skiing is possible. Therefore, you can enjoy skiing along with peak climbing. Among these three trekking peaks, Mera Peak is relatively easier.

Novice trekkers can also climb this mountain. However, you need to heed instructions of guides. There are numerous crevasses on the peak route. Moreover, during bad weather the climbing becomes very dangerous.

Location: Hinku Valley, Sankhuwasabha

Average days: 17-18 Days
