Now, let’s talk about Annapurna Base Camp Trek. This is the most popular trekking trail of Nepal. Lots of trekkers prefer to trek on this trail. Main reason behind it’s popularity is the altitude and walking trail. Highest altitude on this trail is 4130 m which is Annapurna Base Camp.
Moreover, the trail passes through many villages and green lush forests landscape. You can do this trekking in lots of ways. There are shorter days trek trip as well as longer days. It is up to you to choose which way to complete the Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
9 Days Trek is normal for ABC Trek. It consists of both Annapurna Base Camp as well as Ghorepani Poon Hill.
This is the first day’s activity. Trekkers take the private vehicle to Hille. Journey is about two hours. Once you reach Hille, trekking starts. It takes two hours of walking for trekkers to reach Ulleri. The village is very scenic. You can see best landscape of forests and farmlands as well as rivers.
Early in the morning, trekkers start to walk uphill to Ghorepani after breakfast. The trail is through green lush forests of rhododendron, fig, firs, chilaune, uttish, chaap etc. You can listen to the chirping sound of birds. Feel the mountain air.
Poon Hill is famous for sunrise or sunset. It is a perfect vantage point. Trekkers can enjoy the view of more than 2 dozens of mountains. The moment is truly amazing. After the sunrise viewing activity, trekkers head to Tadapani. Trail is both uphill and downhill through forests.
Trekkers trek downhill up to Kungrung Khola next to Chuile. From this place trekkers trek uphill to Chhomrong. Normally we take lunch on this place. Further uphill trekking for about 2 hours, we reach Lower Sinuwa. For Upper Sinuwa it takes additional 1 hour.
Route from Sinuwa to Deurali is quite an experience. You can see mountains, valleys, rivers, forests and hamlets. First 2 hours to Bamboo is flat and downhill. Bamboo to Dovan is gentle uphill of about 1 hour. Dovan to Himalaya is uphill walking for about 2.5 hours. Himalaya to Deurali is in gentle slope which takes about 2 hours. Therefore, this day is the challenging day of walking.
Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp is uphill walking for about 3 hours. We will have lunch at MBC and start to walk towards Annapurna Base Camp. It takes about 2.5 hours of walking to reach the base camp of Mt. Annapurna.

Today we will trek to Jhinu and enjoy the natural hot water springs bath. It helps to release all tiredness of the trekking.
We will finally trek to New Bridge and take the private vehicle back to Pokhara.
You can customize the Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary. It is possible to do this trekking in 6 days as well. However, it is challenging and exclude Poon hill.
