Everest View Trek 6 Days Itinerary helps you get best out of your trekking journey. It is one week adventure to the homeland of Sherpa and Mt. Everest. Everest View Trek 6 Days Itinerary

Kathmandu to Lukla Flight; Trek to Phakding

Early in the morning trekkers take the flight to Lukla. This is the exciting mountain flight to world’s most extreme airport. Entire flight experience becomes memorable. Once you land in Lukla, you will meet rest of the crew members (porters & Sherpa).

Trekking starts from Lukla. You will start to walk to Phakding. This is the small hamlet on the bank of Dudhkoshi River. The trail is easy to walk on. However, Kathmandu is 1300 m and Lukla is 2800 m. Therefore, some people might experience altitude sickness. Generally, trekking is not difficult.

Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar

After breakfast, trekkers start to walk towards Namche Bazaar. The trail is on the banks of Dudhkoshi River. Highlights of this day’s trek are Namche Bazaar, suspension bridges, forests and first view of Mt. Everest. Besides, these attractions trekkers enter the Sagarmatha National Park on this day.

Trail is well paved and total walking hours is about 6 to 7. Enjoy the majestic experience of walking on the bank of Dudhkoshi River and crossing suspension bridges.

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche/ Everest View Trek Itinerary Final Destination

You can take one day of rest in Namche Bazaar as well. However, it is highly recommended to go to Tengboche instead of resting in Namche. Best way to cover all major villages of Sherpa on this day is to trek from Khumjung Khunde circuit. By doing this, you can visit the Sherpa Villages and understand about their normal daily lives too.

Evening at the Tengboche Monastery is quite spiritual. Moreover, the view of Mt. Everest and Pangboche Valley enthralls everyone. The view from top of Tengboche is what makes this trip the Everest View Trek.

Tengboche to Namche Bazaar/Khumjung Village

On this day trekkers trek back to Namche Bazaar or to Khumjung Village. You can trek to either of these places. However, if you are to enjoy the eateries, bars and shops of Everest region trek to Namche. For Sherpa experience, trek to Khumjung Village. You can trek back to Lukla from either of these places easily.

Trek to Lukla

Finally, trekkers trek back to Lukla following the same trail on the banks of Dudhkoshi River. Enjoy your return trip. As the altitude drops, it becomes easier to breathe. Most of the trekkers enjoy with crew members and fellow trekkers at lodge in Lukla. You can have a small Nepali style feast too.

Lukla to Kathmandu Flight

This is the last action on this trip. After landing in Kathmandu, you can do short sightseeing around UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES of the valley.
