Langtang Valley Trek lies in Rasuwa. It is the northern district of Nepal having border with China. Trekking starts and ends in Syaprubeshi. It is about 180 kms and 15 kms away from Kathmandu and Dhunche respectively. There are lots of lodges and eateries in the town. However, it is not like your regular urban town.

Only means of transportation from Kathmandu to Syaprubeshi is via road. However, you can take the helicopter too. The best means is road. You can either hire a private jeep or board a local bus from Machhapokhari, Kathmandu.

Langtang Valley trek difficulty ranges from moderate to challenging. Lots of the places are above 3000 m. Therefore, there is risk of altitude sickness. Some of the section of the trail is over the landslide area. Moreover, after 2015 earthquake the course has changed a bit. My suggestion for you is that never do the solo trekking.
Best time to do Langtang Valley Trek is Autumn and Spring. These seasons are best because of weather conditions. Rainy season is not good to trek. Winter is also not acceptable. Lots of people will not be in the village during this time of the year.
